Location: The Frobisher Inn – Iqaluit, Nunavut
Compensation: $78,000 – $82,000 per annum, plus annual performance-based bonus and travel allowance
Housing: Company-provided accommodations available
The Frobisher Inn, a leading full-service hotel in Northern Canada, is seeking a hands-on and service-driven Restaurant & Café Manager to oversee two distinct food & beverage outlets: Caribrew Café and The Frob Eatery. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives in an active environment, balancing day-to-day operations with direct guest engagement and team support.
Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth service, managing inquiries, handling customer complaints, and maintaining high standards across both outlets. Whether assisting with food service, overseeing staff, or optimizing cost controls, your leadership will shape the guest experience and drive operational success.
What You’ll Do
Lead daily operations for Caribrew Café and The Frob Eatery, ensuring seamless service and high-quality guest experiences
Provide hands-on support during service—food running, bar service, and table setup as needed
Manage guest inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly to uphold customer satisfaction
Oversee ordering, invoice tracking, and inventory control for both outlets
Work closely with staff, providing active support to maintain efficiency during peak periods
Train and develop team members, fostering a positive and service-driven work culture
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness regulations
Collaborate with the culinary team to plan seasonal offerings and special promotions
What We’re Looking For
7+ years of progressive restaurant/café management experience
A proactive leader who excels in fast-paced, service-oriented environments
Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, cost management, and inventory control
Ability to lead by example and actively participate in daily service operations
Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
Willingness to relocate to Iqaluit, NU (relocation assistance and company housing provided)
