Job requirements :
- College diploma in Childhood Education, certification or equivalent
- Proof of up-to-date cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course
- Proof of criminal record check for vulnerable sector
- Basic knowledge of the English language, an asset

Description of responsibilities:
Under the supervision of Management, the employee in the Educator position has the following responsibilities:
- Promote the overall development of all children
- Supervise children's behavior
- Meet health, well-being and safety needs
- Create and maintain a safe environment
- Establish collaborative partnerships with families

- Build collaborative partnerships with families
- Support the interests of children and families
- Participate in sports and cultural activities (swimming pool, cross-country skiing, skating, hiking)

 

Contract details :
Salary: Between $27.45 and $35.73/hour (depending on experience and training)
Remoteness premium: $7.70/hour in addition to base salary
Housing allowance of $550.00/month
Annual vacation
After 9 months of service, a bonus of $2080.00
Upon hiring, purchase of airfare from Ottawa and $500.00 for cargo/moving expenses and
purchase of return airfare to Ottawa at the end of the contract - one year with possibility of renewal.

About us : We are one of three francophone daycare centres in Canada's northern territories
the only one in Nunavut. Our not-for-profit organization was founded in 2002 by a group of
the involvement of a group of francophone parents from the city of Iqaluit, the Association
and the École des Trois-Soleils. Priority for places is given to children
children with a French-speaking parent. Children aged 10 months to
months to 5 years.
